About Perfect Care
We provide care at home in Cambridge and the surrounding area, supporting older adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss and younger adults. We spend real time on the first conversation, in the person's own home, and we want the person themselves to lead it rather than the family or the referral form. Families arrive with a list of tasks, understandably, because they have been worrying. The person usually wants to talk about something else, and that second conversation is the one that produces a plan worth following. After that the work depends on organisation rather than inspiration: turning up when we said, with somebody the person recognises, having read what was written after the last visit. Where sight or hearing has gone we agree how we will announce ourselves and every carer uses the same approach, because walking in and simply talking makes a visit harder before it has begun. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather state that plainly than write around the gap. Ask us how we recruit and train, and meet the carers beforehand.
