About County Council Reablement Service
Here at Cambridgeshire County Council Reablement, we provide home care support to people living in Cambridge and across Cambridgeshire, helping individuals maintain their independence and continue living well in their own homes. Our work focuses on reablement, which means we are not simply here to do things for people but to work alongside them, helping them rebuild confidence and regain the skills they need to manage day to day life as independently as possible. We recognise that coming home after a hospital stay or managing a change in health can feel overwhelming, and our role is to make that transition feel manageable and supported. We work with older adults, people living with mental health conditions, those with physical disabilities, and individuals who need support around alcohol or drug misuse. Each person we support has their own goals, their own routines and their own way of doing things, and we take the time to understand what matters to them before putting any plan in place. Our team is made up of people who genuinely understand the communities they work in. We are a council run service, which means we are accountable to the people of Cambridgeshire and committed to delivering care that reflects the values of the public sector, including fairness, transparency and respect for every individual we work with. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a rating of Good across all areas. We see that as a reflection of the work our staff put in every day, and also as a prompt to keep listening, keep improving and keep raising the standard of what we offer. If you would like to find out more about whether our reablement support could be right for you or someone you care about, please do get in touch.
