About Extra Care Team 1
We are an extra care team based in Halifax, providing care and support to people living in their own flats and homes across Calderdale. We support older people, including many living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Extra care suits people who want their own front door and their own tenancy but would rather not be entirely on their own with it. Support is on hand when it is needed, which for some people means a short call or two a day and for others means a good deal more, and it can be increased or reduced as circumstances change without anybody having to move.
