About Amazing Hands Care
Amazing Hands Care provides support to people in their own homes in Brighouse and across Calderdale. The people we visit are not easily grouped together. Some are older and need help to keep a household running. Some are younger adults who want support that does not take over their day. We work with people living with dementia, with people who have physical disabilities, with people managing mental health difficulties or an eating disorder, and with people recovering from problems with alcohol or drugs. That range only works if the planning is done properly, so we spend time at the start getting the detail right: what the person wants to be able to do, where support genuinely helps, what they would rather we did not touch, and who else is already involved. Visits are then arranged around that, and we keep the team visiting any one person as small and as consistent as we can manage. We take care over the sensitive parts of this work. Support around eating, around recovery, or around a mental health condition depends on trust and on people not feeling watched or judged, and we train and supervise our team with that in mind. The Care Quality Commission has not yet given us an overall rating. We will talk frankly about what we are able to cover, and we would rather turn a request down than accept work we cannot do well.
