About Grace Eyre Choices Sussex
Grace Eyre Choices supports people across Brighton and the wider Sussex area in their own homes and in the community. We work with adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities or sight and hearing loss, and people dealing with problems related to alcohol or drugs. We think support should start from what somebody wants their life to look like, not from a list of tasks. So we ask first, listen properly, and then work out what help is actually needed. For some people that means support to keep a home running and manage appointments. For others it is somebody alongside them while they get out to work, to college, to an activity or to see friends. Where a person communicates differently we learn how before making decisions about them, using the signing, symbols or approach they already trust. We also work alongside families, health teams and social workers so nobody has to keep repeating their story from the beginning. People should have a real say in who supports them and how, and we take that seriously rather than treating it as a formality. Consistent staff make that possible, so we keep the same people together wherever we can. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss support.
