About Dolphin Healthcare Services
Dolphin Healthcare provides care and support to people in their own homes across Birmingham. The people we work with include older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. That is a wide range of need, and what holds it together is that we start from the person rather than from a package we happen to offer. We visit first, listen properly, and agree what help is wanted, how often and who will provide it, with family or an advocate involved whenever somebody wants them there. Birmingham is home to many communities and many languages, and we try to match support workers to households in a way that takes account of language, food, faith and custom as well as care needs, because being helped by somebody who understands how your home runs is not a detail. Reliability is the substance of this work, so we keep teams small and local, brief staff properly before they start with somebody new, and avoid unannounced substitutions. For autistic people we give notice of change well in advance and pay attention to sensory needs. For people living with dementia we keep the same small team visiting and work at their pace. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about support for yourself or a relative and we will arrange to come out and see you.
