About Home Instead
Home Instead provides support at home for people in Erith and across Bexley. The people we visit include older people, many of them living with dementia, as well as younger adults and people with a physical disability. Everything begins with a proper conversation in your own home about your routine, your preferences and where help would make the biggest difference. Visits can cover personal care and medication, cooking, shopping and housework, getting out to appointments, or company for somebody who sees very few people in a week. Some people need one short call a day and others need several, or support overnight, and we are happy to start small and adjust as things change. Keeping the same carers visiting the same people is something we protect. Familiarity does more good than almost anything else we can offer, particularly for somebody living with dementia, and it means changes get noticed early by a carer who knows what normal looks like for that person. We also take the view that visits need to be long enough to sit down and talk, not just long enough to finish a task. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We treat it as the standard we are expected to hold rather than something to advertise. If you would like to talk about care at home in this part of London, please get in touch.
