About Sarah Cares ()
Sarah Cares provides home care to older people living in Bath and the surrounding area. We do one thing, and we would rather do it well than spread ourselves across everything. What we offer is help at home for older adults who are finding daily life harder than it used to be. That covers washing and dressing, prompting and administering medication, preparing meals and seeing that they are actually eaten, shopping, laundry, getting out to appointments, and the general practical business of keeping a household going. It also covers company, which is often the part that matters most to somebody living alone. We set visits up around the day the person wants to have rather than the day that suits a rota. If someone has always got up at half past six, we do not ask them to start waiting until nine. Where we cannot do something, we say so plainly instead of promising and disappointing. We keep the same small group of carers going to the same people. A carer who knows somebody notices the missed meals, the new bruise or the unusual confusion long before anybody else would, and that early warning is worth a great deal.
