About Kuklous HealthCare
We are a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across Barnet and the surrounding parts of London. We work with older adults, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and younger adults who want support to live independently rather than to be looked after. We start from what the person wants their life to look like rather than from a list of tasks. For a good number of those we support, the point of our involvement is not to do things for them but to make it possible for them to do things themselves and then to step back. That covers cooking, managing money, getting to a job or a course, using public transport, and dealing with the everyday business that can be genuinely daunting alone. Predictability is something we take seriously. Knowing who is coming and when, being told of changes in good time, and not having arrangements altered casually are often the difference between a manageable week and a hard one. The cost of getting that wrong falls on the person, not on us. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so plainly. Until we have one, we are glad to be asked how we recruit, train and supervise our staff, and to be judged on what the people we already support say about us.
