About Exceptional Care At Home
Exceptional Care At Home supports people in their own homes across Barnet and the surrounding parts of London. We were set up around a simple idea, which is that most people would rather stay where they are, with their own kettle and their own armchair, and that good support at home makes that possible for far longer than families often expect. We visit older people who need a hand with washing, dressing, medication or getting a proper meal together, and we also support younger adults whose needs are quite different and who want care that fits around work, study or family life rather than dictating it. A good part of our work is with people living with dementia. In those homes we try to keep the same faces coming through the door, because familiarity does more for confidence than almost anything else we can offer. Visits are arranged to suit the household. For some people that is a short call in the morning to get the day started well, for others it is several visits a day, and for others still it is company and a bit of practical help a couple of times a week. We agree the plan with the person and with whoever they want involved, and we change it whenever circumstances change. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. In the meantime we are happy to talk openly about how we work, introduce you to our team and put you in touch with families we already support.
