About Pbcare
We are Pbcare, and we provide care to people in their own homes across Edgware and the wider borough of Barnet. Everything we do rests on a simple premise. The person we visit is at home, and we are the guest. How they like their kitchen arranged, when they want to get up, who they want in the house and who they do not, remains theirs to decide. We support older people, including many living with dementia, and we also work with younger adults, people with learning disabilities and autism, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Calls range from a short visit to help someone start the day safely through to more substantial daily support with personal care, medication, meals and getting out of the house. We try hard to send the same small group of carers to the same person. Consistency is not a luxury in this work. It is how a carer notices that someone is quieter than usual, eating less, or steadier on their feet than last month, and those observations are often what prevent a small problem becoming a hospital admission. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
