About Mother's Touch Care
We provide care at home in Barking and Dagenham, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. Our part is practical. We arrange visits at the times that suit, help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals, shopping and housework, and assistance to move about the house safely. Where needs are greater we arrange more frequent calls, and where they change we review the plan rather than leaving it as it was first agreed. In a part of London where people are used to seeing a different carer every week, continuity is the thing worth fighting for. A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually quiet, and the person is spared explaining themselves over and over. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach a senior colleague whenever they need advice.
