About Elden East
Elden East provides care at home to people in Barking and Dagenham. We support older people and people living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and with visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need support to live independently. We build visits around the life someone already has rather than around a standard package. That might mean a short call first thing to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day starts safely, longer support through the day with meals, mobility and the house, or help to get out to appointments, to the shops and to see people. For some households the most valuable part is a familiar face and an unhurried conversation. Before anything begins we visit, talk it through with the person and their family, and write down plainly who will do what and when. We review it as needs change, and we are honest when we think somebody needs more than care at home can safely provide. We work to send the same carers to the same people. That familiarity is what allows our team to notice the early signs that something is wrong and raise it before it becomes a crisis. The Care Quality Commission has not yet issued an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards, and we are happy to explain how we monitor our own quality. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
