About Options Bredon House
We are a residential care home in Worcester supporting adults with a learning disability, adults on the autistic spectrum and younger adults. We offer both settled places and respite stays. The house is somebody's home before it is anything else, and that shapes how the day runs. People decide when to get up, what to eat, how they spend their time and who they see. Some of the people living here go out to work, college or activities, others prefer a quieter and more predictable rhythm, and both are perfectly reasonable ways to live. Our support is practical and unhurried. It might mean help with personal care, cooking and shopping, managing money and appointments, using local transport, or keeping up with family and friends. Where somebody can do something themselves, our part is to make that possible rather than to take it over, even where taking over would be faster. Communication takes real effort and gets it. People tell us what they want and how they feel in very different ways, and learning each person's way is what allows decisions to genuinely belong to them. Respite stays give families a proper break and give the person staying with us somewhere calm and predictable to be for a while. If you would like to look round and meet the team, you would be very welcome.
