About Minster Grange Residential Home

We are a residential care home in Stourport on Severn, providing a home for older people and younger adults with a range of needs, including people living with dementia, people with mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. Supporting that mix means paying attention to individuals rather than to categories. Some of the people here need a good deal of help with personal care, medication and moving about. Others need much less of that and a great deal more support with everything else: keeping to arrangements, managing anxiety, getting out of the house and having staff who know when to step in and when to leave well alone. Residents keep their own rooms, belongings and routines as far as we can manage, and they decide how much they want to be part of whatever is happening. Meals are cooked here and we listen when somebody would rather have something different. Where somebody is living with dementia we spend time learning their history and habits, because knowing the person is what settles them when they are frightened. Family and friends are welcome whenever they wish to come. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please come and look round and ask us whatever you need to.
