About Lighthouse Lodge
Here at Lighthouse Lodge, we are a residential care home based in Wallasey on the Wirral, and we are proud to be part of this community. We support a range of people, including older adults, individuals living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults who need care and support. We also offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether that is to give a family carer a break or to support someone during a period of recovery or change. We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person and their family will make, and we do not take that lightly. Our aim is to make Lighthouse Lodge feel like a genuine home, somewhere people feel comfortable, respected and listened to. We try to get to know each person properly, understanding their routines, their preferences and what matters to them day to day, so that the support we provide fits around their life rather than the other way around. We want to be straightforward with the people we support and their families. Our most recent CQC inspection resulted in an overall rating of requires improvement, and we are committed to addressing the areas identified and making the necessary changes. We are actively working through those improvements and welcome any questions families may have about the steps we are taking. Our team work hard to create an atmosphere that feels calm, friendly and unhurried. We understand that moving into a care setting can feel daunting, so we try to make the transition as smooth as possible and encourage families to stay closely involved in their loved one's life here.
