About Park View
Park View is a residential care home in Prenton, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. Most of those living here are younger adults, and we also offer respite stays. We would rather be a small household that knows people well than a larger one with more to offer on paper. For some people a bigger setting suits better, and we say so. Residents have real control over their own rooms and a genuine voice in the food, the shopping and the household routine. Ambitions about work or study drive the support rather than sit alongside it. Predictability is something we take particularly seriously. For many of those living here, knowing exactly what is happening and who will be on shift is the difference between a settled day and a difficult one. Moving in is unsettling for anybody, so we take the first weeks slowly. Nobody is expected to fit in immediately or to join anything before they want to. The Care Quality Commission rates us good overall. We keep asking ourselves whether we would want to live here, which is a sharper question.
