About OSJCT Ridgeway House

We are a residential care home in Wootton Bassett, providing a home for older people and younger adults who need support with daily life. We aim for the atmosphere of a household rather than an institution, with people keeping their own belongings, their own routines and as much say as possible over how the day goes. We help with personal care, mobility, meals and medication, and we care for people living with dementia. With dementia we have found that the things that make a real difference are the ordinary ones: familiar staff, routines that stay put and enough time that nothing needs rushing. Mealtimes, conversation and a bit of fresh air matter as much to how somebody feels as any part of a care plan. Respite stays are available too, whether to give a family carer a proper break after a long stretch at home or to let someone try the place for a short period before deciding on anything longer. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would much rather hear about a concern while it is still a small one, so we ask residents and relatives often and we act on what they tell us. Please do come and visit. Looking round and meeting the people who live and work here tells you more than anything on a page.
