About Twin Oaks
Twin Oaks is a residential care home in Windermere, looking after older people who need support with daily life but not nursing care. We offer both permanent places and respite stays. Living somewhere like this should not mean giving up the shape of your own day. People here get up and go to bed when it suits them, keep their own habits, bring their own furniture and pictures, and carry on with the things they have always enjoyed as far as health allows. Our job is to make that possible, quietly, and to be there when more help is needed. Being in Windermere is part of what we offer. The setting matters to people, and we make the most of it, whether that means a walk out, a drive, or simply sitting somewhere with a decent view and a cup of tea. Small outings are easy to let slide when a home gets busy, so we keep them firmly on the agenda. Our respite stays suit people recovering after a spell in hospital, and families who need a break and want to know their relative is somewhere they will be properly looked after. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. You are very welcome to come and look round, meet the people who live here, and ask whatever you want to ask.
