About The Anchorage Residential Care Home
Here at The Anchorage, we offer residential care to older adults and younger adults living in the heart of Pulborough, West Sussex. We are proud to have received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our whole team puts into making this a place where people feel safe, comfortable and at home. We support a wide range of needs, including dementia care, physical disability, and visual and hearing impairment. Whether someone is joining us for a longer stay or coming for a period of respite care, we take time to get to know each person as an individual, understanding their preferences, routines and what matters most to them in their daily life. Dementia care is an area we take particularly seriously. We understand how important consistency and familiarity are for those living with dementia, and we work hard to create an environment that feels calm and reassuring. Equally, for those with physical disabilities or sensory impairments, we think carefully about how we can support independence while ensuring every person feels genuinely looked after. Respite care is something we welcome wholeheartedly. We know that coming to an unfamiliar setting, even for a short time, can feel daunting, so we focus on making that transition as smooth and welcoming as possible. Our setting is a true care home in the warmest sense of the word. We are not a clinical environment. We want people to feel they have a real home here, with good food, pleasant surroundings and staff who genuinely listen and respond.
