Here at Baytrees, we provide residential care for adults with learning disabilities and autism in the heart of Littlehampton, West Sussex. We are a small, close knit community where the people who live with us are genuinely at the centre of everything we do. We understand that moving into a care home is a significant step, and we work hard to make sure that Baytrees feels like home rather than an institution. Life here is built around the individual. We take the time to get to know each person properly, learning what matters to them, what brings them joy, and what support they actually need, rather than making assumptions. That means daily life looks different for everyone here, and that is exactly how it should be. Supporting people with learning disabilities and autism requires patience, consistency and a real willingness to listen, including to those who communicate in ways that do not rely on words alone. Our team works closely with residents and their families to understand how best to offer support that respects each person's preferences and routines. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a rating of Good, which we feel reflects the genuine effort our team puts in every day. We do not take that rating for granted and we are always looking at where we can do better. Littlehampton is a lovely town and we make the most of being part of the local community, encouraging residents to get out and about and take part in the things they enjoy.
