About Lambourne House
Here at Lambourne House, we provide residential care for people who need a little extra support to live well. Based in Chichester, West Sussex, we work with younger adults who have learning disabilities, autism, or physical disabilities, and we also offer respite care for those who need a short break from their usual routines or to give family carers some time to rest. We know that moving into a care home, or even just staying with us for a short while, is a significant step. We try to make that transition as straightforward as possible by getting to know each person properly before we start making assumptions about what they need. Everyone who comes through our door has their own personality, preferences and way of doing things, and we work hard to make sure our support reflects that rather than fitting people into a ready made routine. Our team puts a great deal of thought into how we can help each individual maintain as much independence as possible while still feeling genuinely looked after. Whether someone is with us long term or just for a short stay, we want them to feel comfortable, safe and part of the community here. We were pleased to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection, which reflects the effort our staff put in every day. We do not take that for granted and we continue to look at how we can improve and respond to the people in our care and their families.
