About Polesworth Group Pooley View
Pooley View is a residential care home near Tamworth, in Warwickshire. We support older people who need help through the day and adults with a learning disability, including autistic adults. Some of the people living with us are younger adults, and respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Because we support that mix, we do not run the house to one timetable. Some of the people here go out to college, work or a club during the week and come back in the afternoon with plenty to say about it. Others prefer the quiet of their own room and the garden, and that is an equally reasonable way to spend a day. We work out what each person's day ought to look like and then make the house fit around it rather than the other way round. Support plans are agreed with the person and written so the person can read them. Staff are matched to people with some thought rather than allocated to whoever is on shift, and when something is not working we change it rather than defending it. Where somebody needs a great deal of routine in order to feel safe, we hold it consistently. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Come and visit and talk to the people who live here.
