About Greenways Care Home
We are Greenways, a residential care home at Long Itchington caring for older people, including many who are living with dementia. Being out in the Warwickshire countryside suits the way we work. It is a quiet setting, the garden gets used properly in decent weather, and the pace of the place is unhurried in a way that matters a great deal to the people who live here. What we provide is residential care rather than nursing care, and we say so clearly to families at the outset. Within it, we help with washing, dressing and moving about safely, support people with medication, provide proper meals and make sure nobody is left alone all day unless that is their preference. Dementia care takes patience and it takes knowing the person. We spend time learning about the work somebody did, the family they raised and the routines that settle them, and we do not argue with anybody about what year it is. We meet people where they are and find something good to do together. We keep families informed and would far rather ring early about a small worry. Visitors are welcome whenever suits them. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.
