About Polesworth Group Newborough Close
Ours is a residential care home in Atherstone, supporting older people and adults with a learning disability, including autistic adults. We think of it as a household rather than a service, and the people who live here have their own rooms, their own belongings and a genuine say in how the week is arranged. Support is worked out with each person rather than handed to them. For some that means practical help with personal care, cooking and looking after their own space. For others it is about getting out to the things they enjoy, managing money and appointments, and having somebody dependable alongside in situations that would otherwise feel too much. We take real care over how each person communicates and over what helps them feel settled, because getting those right prevents a great deal of difficulty before it starts. Respite stays are available as well, which can give a family a planned break and can let somebody get to know us gradually. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather state that openly than leave it unsaid, and we are happy to explain how we work and how our staff are trained and supported. If you would like to visit, please get in touch and we will arrange a time.
