About Anvil Close
Here at Anvil Close, we are a care home based in Wandsworth, London, providing residential care for people with learning disabilities and autism, as well as respite care for those who need short term support. We understand that choosing the right care home is one of the most significant decisions a person or their family will ever make. That is why we take the time to get to know each individual who comes through our doors, understanding their preferences, routines and what makes them feel comfortable and at home. Care here is genuinely personal, shaped around the people we support rather than the other way around. Our team works hard to create an environment where people feel safe, respected and free to live as independently as possible. For those with learning disabilities or autism, we know how important consistency and familiarity are, and we work thoughtfully to make sure routines are maintained and communication styles are adapted to suit each person. For those joining us on a respite basis, we aim to make every stay feel settled and welcoming, whether it is a first visit or a regular arrangement. We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, which reflects the commitment our staff bring to their work every day. We are always looking at how we can do better, and we welcome open conversations with residents, families and advocates about how we can continue to improve. If you are considering Anvil Close for yourself or a loved one, we warmly encourage you to get in touch or come and visit us. Wandsworth is our home, and we are proud to be part of the local community, providing care that genuinely makes a difference to people's lives.
