About Attlee Court
Here at Attlee Court, we are a residential care home based in Normanton, Wakefield, and we are proud to be a familiar and trusted part of the local community. Our focus is on providing genuine, person centred care for older people, and we work hard every day to make sure that everyone who lives with us feels at home, respected, and well looked after. We specialise in older person care, residential care, dementia care, and respite care. Whether someone is joining us for a short stay to recover or rest, or making Attlee Court their permanent home, we take the time to get to know each person individually. We understand that moving into a care home is a significant step, both for the person coming to live with us and for their family, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our approach to dementia care is thoughtful and calm. We recognise that living with dementia affects every person differently, and we make sure our support reflects that. Familiar routines, a warm environment, and attentive staff all contribute to helping residents feel safe and at ease. For those choosing respite care, we aim to make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible. A short stay should feel just as considered and caring as a longer one, and we apply the same level of attention regardless of how long someone is with us. We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, which reflects the consistent effort our team puts in across every area of the home. It is something we are proud of, though we always look for ways to keep improving. If you would like to find out more about life at Attlee Court, we would love to hear from you.
