About Carl Court
Carl Court is a residential care home in Torquay. We support older people needing help with daily living, including those living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability and people whose sight or hearing is impaired. We also support some younger adults. That is a wide range, and what holds it together is planning around the individual rather than a house routine everybody has to fit. We find out how somebody wants their day to run, what tends to help when things are difficult and who we should contact, and we treat that knowledge as the substance of the care. For residents living with dementia we keep routines steady and faces familiar. Where sight or hearing is impaired we keep belongings where they are expected and check we have been understood. For people living with mental health conditions, consistency and staff who stay steady when things are difficult count for a great deal. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Torbay are welcome to visit. Please ring and we will arrange a time.
