About The Lakes Care Centre
The Lakes Care Centre is a residential care home in Dukinfield, Tameside, supporting older people and younger adults who need care and company close at hand. We try to run as a household rather than an institution, with the day shaped by the people living it. Our team helps with personal care, medication, mobility and meals, and just as much with the things that give a day its value: conversation, company for those who want it, quiet for those who do not, and fresh air whenever the weather allows. Residents keep their own routines where they can, personalise their rooms and decide how much of the day they spend with others. Relatives are welcome whenever they can come. Respite stays are available for people needing care for a short period, which some families use for a break and others as a way of finding out whether a longer stay would suit. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Requires Improvement. We would rather set that out ourselves than have you learn it elsewhere. We understood what was asked of us, we have been working steadily through it, and we are happy to go through the detail with anyone who asks. Please come and see us at an ordinary hour and judge the place on what you find.
