About Sandon House
Here at Sandon House, we provide residential and dementia care for older people in the heart of Ashton under Lyne, Tameside. We are proud to be part of this community, and the people who live with us genuinely feel at home here. We understand that moving into a care home is a significant step, both for the person coming to live with us and for their family. We try to make that transition as straightforward and as comfortable as possible. From the moment someone walks through our doors, we want them to feel welcomed, respected and listened to. Every person who lives here has their own story, their own routines and their own preferences, and we take the time to get to know all of that properly. Our team supports people living with dementia with real care and understanding. We know how important consistency and familiarity are, and we work hard to create an environment where residents feel safe and settled. Families tell us that knowing their loved one is genuinely looked after brings them real peace of mind, and that matters enormously to us. Day to day life at Sandon House is built around what residents enjoy and what helps them to thrive. Whether that means a quiet afternoon with company, joining in with activities, or simply having a good conversation over a cup of tea, we follow the lead of the people who live here. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of good, which we feel reflects the commitment shown by our whole team every single day.
