About Raleigh House
Raleigh House is a residential care home in Wallington, in the London Borough of Sutton. We support older people and adults living with a learning disability or autism, including younger adults, and we also offer respite stays. Supporting people at different stages of life under one roof means the person has to come first, not the routine. We take time to learn how someone communicates, what they can manage themselves, what they find difficult and what they actually enjoy, and we build support around that. Help with personal care, mobility, medication and meals is given in a way that protects dignity and leaves people in charge of their own decisions wherever they can be. Residents have their own rooms and belongings and a genuine say in how the house runs, from what goes on the shopping list to what happens at the weekend. We think as hard about what fills a good week as we do about care tasks, so friendships, hobbies, faith, college or work and time with family all count. Wallington and the surrounding area give us plenty to make use of locally. Respite guests are properly welcomed, and we learn how someone likes things done before a stay begins.
