About Moorhouse Care Home
Here at Moorhouse Care Home, we are situated in the peaceful surroundings of Hindhead in Surrey, offering a warm and homely environment for those who need support in later life. We genuinely care about the people who live with us, and we work hard every day to make sure that life here feels comfortable, safe and meaningful. We support older people across a range of needs, including residential care, dementia care and care for those living with a physical disability. We also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay, whether that is to recover after a hospital admission or to give family carers a well earned rest. Whatever brings someone to us, we do our best to make the transition as smooth and reassuring as possible. We want to be straightforward with those looking for care. Our most recent CQC inspection resulted in an overall rating of requires improvement, and we take that seriously. We have reflected carefully on the findings and are actively working through the areas identified, making changes where they are needed. We believe that being open about where we are, and honest about the steps we are taking, matters more than presenting a picture that does not reflect reality. Our residents and their families deserve that honesty from us. What has not changed is our commitment to treating every person here as an individual. We take time to understand what matters to people, what their routines look like, what makes them feel at ease. Life at Moorhouse is shaped around the people who live here, not the other way around. If you would like to find out more or come and have a look around, we would be very happy to welcome you in for a visit.
