About Beauchamp Court
Beauchamp Court is a residential care home in East Molesey, Surrey. We are home to older people and to some younger adults, we have long experience of supporting people who live with dementia, and we offer respite stays for those who need care for a shorter period. We want the house to feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere care is delivered. Residents choose when to get up, where to spend the day and how much they want to join in. Their preferences are taken seriously, from what they eat to who they would rather have with them when personal care is given, and nobody is hurried through a task they can still do for themselves. Supporting people with dementia forms a large part of our work, and what helps is rarely complicated: steady routines, familiar staff, unhurried conversation and a real knowledge of somebody's earlier life. We ask families to tell us about the person they knew, and we use what they tell us every day. When a resident is anxious or unsettled, we look for the cause instead of managing the symptom. We help with washing, dressing, medication, meals, mobility and continence at whatever level is needed, and we involve GPs, district nurses and other health colleagues promptly when something changes. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour and we would far rather hear a concern early than discover it late. If you are looking at care homes in this part of Surrey, please arrange to come and see us.
