About Ellis House
Ellis House is a residential care home in Cannock, Staffordshire. We support adults with a wide range of needs, and we do it in a house rather than a facility. That distinction shapes most of our decisions, from how the day is structured to how we speak to each other in the corridor. The people who live here include older people and younger adults, people with learning disabilities and autism, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Some need a great deal of practical help each day. Others need very little, and what they really want from us is a settled base and someone reliable to talk to. We plan support with each person, and we revisit that plan when life changes rather than only when a form is due. We also offer respite stays. These can be arranged as a planned break for a family carer or at shorter notice when circumstances at home make it necessary, and we will always be straight with you about whether we can meet someone's needs well. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would encourage anyone considering Ellis House to come and see the place for themselves.
