Here at Hawthorn Court, we provide residential care for older adults in the heart of Hebburn, South Tyneside. We are proud to have received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our team puts in every single day to make this a place where people feel safe, respected and at home. We support a wide range of needs under one roof. Alongside general residential care for older people, we have real experience in supporting those living with dementia, and we work hard to ensure that life here remains as meaningful and familiar as possible for each individual. We also welcome people with physical disabilities and those with visual or hearing impairments, tailoring our approach to suit each person rather than expecting people to fit around us. We are pleased to be able to support younger adults as well, recognising that the need for residential care is not limited to one age group. For those who are not yet ready for a permanent move, or whose family carers need a break, we also offer respite stays. Whether someone joins us for a short period or makes Hawthorn Court their long term home, we want the experience to feel settled and personal from the very first day. The team here takes time to get to know residents properly, their routines, their preferences and the things that matter most to them. We involve families wherever we can, because we know that moving into a care home is a significant step for everyone involved, not just the person moving in.
