About Eleighwater House
Here at Eleighwater House, we are a residential care home based in the heart of Chard, Somerset, and we take genuine pride in the community we have built within our walls. We support a range of people across different stages of life, including older adults, younger adults, and those who need a shorter period of respite care. Whether someone comes to us for a planned break or a longer term stay, we aim to make sure they feel at home from the moment they arrive. Life here is shaped around the people who live with us, not the other way around. Our team knows that moving into a care home, or supporting a loved one to do so, can feel like a significant step. We try to make that process as straightforward and reassuring as possible, taking time to understand what matters to each person and building care around their individual routines, preferences and personalities. It is the small things that often mean the most, and we pay attention to them. We were pleased to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection. That reflects the consistent effort our staff put in every day, and we remain committed to maintaining and improving on that standard. Chard is a town with a real sense of community, and we feel very much part of it. Families are always welcome, and we encourage involvement and connection as much as possible. If you are considering Eleighwater House for yourself or for someone close to you, we would warmly invite you to come and visit us, have a look around, and ask whatever questions you may have. We believe the best way to understand what we offer is simply to come and meet us.
