About House
Here at Ellesmere House, we provide residential care for older adults in the heart of Ellesmere, Shropshire. Our home is a place where people genuinely feel settled, respected and looked after, and we work hard every day to make sure that feeling is consistent for everyone who lives with us. We support a wide range of needs under one roof. Alongside general older person and residential care, we have real experience in dementia care, mental health support, care for people living with a physical disability, and support for younger adults. We also offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether that is to give a family carer a break or to aid recovery after a period of illness. Our approach is straightforward. We get to know each person properly, understanding their routines, preferences and what matters most to them in daily life. Care is not one size fits all, and we do not treat it as such. Families are always welcome to be involved, and we encourage open, honest conversations from the very start. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good. That outcome reflects the effort our staff put in consistently, not just when someone is watching. It means a great deal to us and to the families who trust us with the care of someone they love. Ellesmere itself is a lovely market town, and our location means residents can feel connected to a real community rather than cut off from everyday life. If you are considering care for yourself or a loved one and would like to come and have a look around or ask any questions, we would be very glad to hear from you.
