About Field House
We are Field House, a residential care home in Church Stretton caring for older people. The setting matters here. Church Stretton is a quiet place, the hills are on the doorstep, and the garden gets proper use when the weather allows. For a good many of the people who live with us, being somewhere unhurried and familiar in character is a large part of what makes the move bearable. What we provide is residential care rather than nursing care, and we say so clearly to families at the outset. Within it we help with washing, dressing and moving about safely, support people with medication, provide meals worth sitting down to, and make sure nobody spends the day alone unless that is their preference. The home runs around the people living in it. Nobody is woken to suit a rota, and how somebody spends the day is their own business. Our staff stay long enough to know residents properly, which is how you notice that a person is quieter than usual or off their food before it becomes serious. We keep families in the picture and welcome visitors whenever suits them. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please contact us to look round.
