About Abbeyfield Grange
Abbeyfield Grange is a residential care home in Sheffield. We are a permanent home to older people and to some younger adults, and we also offer respite stays for those who need care for a short period or whose regular carer needs a rest. Most of our residents need help with washing and dressing, moving about safely, medication given properly and on time, and meals worth looking forward to, with somebody nearby through the night. We also support people living with mental ill health, and there our job is to provide a settled and predictable place to live and to work closely with community mental health colleagues so that what happens here fits with the rest of somebody's care rather than sitting apart from it. We try to keep the house feeling ordinary. Food is cooked on the premises and people are asked what they would like, there is somewhere sociable to sit and somewhere quiet, the garden gets used when the weather allows, and nobody is required to join in with anything. Visitors are welcome without appointment. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather you judged us on how the house feels than on anything written here, so please arrange to come and see us and talk to whoever is on duty.
