About Aspen Manor Care Home
Aspen Manor is a residential care home in Oakham, and we support older people alongside some younger adults whose needs are better met in a smaller and quieter setting than a large one. Rutland is not a busy county and that suits us. There is time here for conversation, for a slow morning, for a walk outside when the weather is kind. A good part of our work is with people living with dementia. We keep routines steady and familiar, we take our lead from the person rather than pulling them into ours, and we pay attention to the environment itself, to light, noise and clutter, because those things shape how settled someone feels. We also support people living with a physical disability and those with a visual or hearing impairment, which means thinking carefully about how rooms are laid out, how we approach someone and how we make sure information reaches them in a way they can use. Respite stays are part of what we do. They give families a proper rest and they give the person staying with us a change of scene and company, with the same care and attention a permanent resident receives. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. We would far rather show you the home than describe it. If you are looking at options around Oakham, get in touch and come and see us at a time that works for you.
