Here at Grasmere Avenue, we are a residential care home based in Hounslow, within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, and we are proud to support adults with learning disabilities and autism, as well as younger adults who need a place where they can truly feel at home. Our team works alongside each person we support to understand what matters to them, what they enjoy, and how they want to live their life. We do not believe in a one size fits all approach. Whether someone is with us long term or staying for a short respite break, we take the time to get to know them properly, and we build care around who they are as an individual rather than around a diagnosis or a label. Respite care is something we take seriously here. We know that coming somewhere new, even briefly, can feel unsettling, so we put real thought into making sure short stay residents feel just as welcomed and settled as those who live with us permanently. Families and carers can take a break knowing their loved one is in a place where people genuinely look out for them. We were delighted when the Care Quality Commission rated us as Outstanding following our most recent inspection. That rating reflects the work of every member of our team, and it reflects the trust that the people we support and their families place in us every day. We do not take that lightly.
