About Holt Farm Care
Holt Farm Care is a residential care home near Bicester. We support older people and younger adults, including people with a learning disability, autistic people and people living with a mental health condition. Ours is a mixed household, and that only works when support is genuinely planned around individuals rather than around groups. Everyone here should have the routine, the space and the company that actually suits them, rather than a compromise that suits nobody in particular. Some people want a busy week with plenty happening beyond the house; others want quiet and familiarity. Both are properly provided for. People have their own rooms and a real say in how the place runs, from the shopping list to what happens at the weekend. Support is there for what needs it and stays out of the way of what does not, because independence is easily worn away by help that means well and does too much. Communication is where a great deal of our effort goes. We learn how each person tells us what they want, in whatever form that takes, and we make sure the whole team can read it. When somebody is unsettled, we look first at what we might change about the environment or our own approach. Respite stays are available for families needing a planned break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. You are welcome to visit and see the place as it usually is on an ordinary day.
