About The Vicarage
Here at The Vicarage, we are a residential care home based in Selby, North Yorkshire, and we are proud to support the people who live with us to lead fulfilling, comfortable lives in a place that truly feels like home. We specialise in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, as well as younger adults who need a little extra help with day to day living. We also offer respite care, which gives family members and carers a chance to rest while knowing their loved one is in a safe, warm and familiar environment. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, and we work hard every day to maintain and build on that standard. We take the time to get to know each person as an individual, understanding their routines, their preferences and what matters most to them. That person centred approach shapes everything we do, from how we plan support to how we spend time together throughout the day. Life at The Vicarage is built around the people who call it home. We encourage independence wherever possible, and we do our best to make sure everyone has a voice in decisions that affect them. Whether that is choosing what to eat, how to spend an afternoon or what activities to get involved in, we want people to feel in control of their own lives. Selby is a lovely part of North Yorkshire, and we enjoy making the most of the local community and everything the area has to offer.
