About Ravensworth Lodge
We are Ravensworth Lodge, a residential care home in Scarborough. We look after older people, including those living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Respite stays are available. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement, and we are not going to write around it. We have looked closely at what the inspection found, changed how care is planned, recorded and reviewed, and strengthened the training and supervision of our staff. Our progress is being monitored, and we tell relatives the same things we tell the regulator. That is a wide range of needs under one roof, and it only works if we plan around individuals rather than running one routine for everyone. Somebody who wants a busy, sociable day and somebody who needs quiet and a predictable rhythm can both live well here, provided we pay proper attention to who needs what. Where access or communication need attention, they get it. If you are considering us for someone, please come and see the home and ask about the rating directly. We will answer fully rather than reassuringly.
