About Eagle View Care Home
Eagle View Care Home is a residential care home in Scarborough. We support older people who need help with daily life, including many living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults who need residential care. We also offer respite stays. We are a home of a size where everybody is properly known, and that is the basis of everything else we do. Our team notices when somebody eats less than usual, sleeps badly, seems low or becomes unsteady on their feet, and it is dealt with the same day rather than at a review in a month's time. Residents run their own days. When to get up and go to bed, what to eat, whether to sit with others or keep to their own room with their own things around them. Rooms hold people's own furniture and photographs, and nobody comes in without knocking. For residents living with dementia, consistency is what helps most, so we keep staffing settled and learn each person's history properly. Where somebody has a physical disability, we work around what they can still do rather than taking over. Health needs are managed alongside local GPs and community nurses, and families hear from us early when anything changes. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are registered with them and inspected against their standards. Please come and visit us in Scarborough.
