About Hyde Park House
We are Hyde Park House, a residential care home in Harrogate. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and people living with mental health conditions, including younger adults. Respite stays are available. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of that and also clear about what it means. It is not a promise that nothing will ever go wrong here. It reflects the fact that we know the people who live here well, that our staff are properly supported, and that when something needs putting right we deal with it rather than explaining it away. Day to day, this is a home first. The people who live here decide how their week runs, what is cooked, how the place looks and how much company they want. Some want a busy week with work, college, sport or regular groups. Others want quiet and a rhythm they can rely on, and where change is unsettling we keep things steady and prepare carefully for anything unusual. We also take positive risk seriously. Protecting somebody from every possible setback would protect them from most of what makes life worth having, so decisions are worked through with the person and those who know them well. Please contact us if you would like to visit and ask us anything you wish.
