About Scarborough House
Scarborough House is a residential care home in Wells next the Sea, on the north Norfolk coast. We care for older people who need help with daily life, in a house where the pace is unhurried and the sea and the quay are part of ordinary conversation. We are not a large impersonal place, and we do not try to run one routine for everyone. People here decide when they want to get up, what they would like to eat, whether they want company or a quiet corner, and what they still want to manage for themselves. Our team helps with personal care, medication, meals and moving about safely, and takes as much care over the ordinary parts of the day as over the practical ones. Being where we are matters. Getting out for some air, a look at the water or a trip into the town is something we make happen rather than talk about, and family and friends are welcome to join in. Respite stays are available too, giving family carers a planned break while their relative is somewhere settled and welcoming. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking at homes in Norfolk, please come and see us and judge the place in person.
