About Brownhill Care
Brownhill Care is a residential care home in Lewisham, south London, supporting adults who need a settled place to live and the right help to rebuild the parts of life that have been disrupted. We work with people managing a mental health condition, people dealing with problems related to alcohol or drug use, and younger adults. Stability is what we try hardest to offer. A predictable house, staff who know you, a routine you had a hand in shaping and somewhere quiet to go when the day has been too much. Alongside that we support personal care where it is needed, medication, health and benefits appointments, cooking and budgeting, and a gradual return to activities, education or work when someone is ready for it. We take the view that recovery is rarely a straight line and that a difficult week is not a failure. Our team is there on the hard days as much as the good ones, and we try not to make people feel they are being managed rather than supported. Respite stays are available too, giving a planned break to people who usually live at home with family. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering a placement in south London, please arrange to come and see us.
