About Dovehaven Grove
At Dovehaven Grove, we provide residential care for older adults and younger adults living with a range of needs, including dementia, physical disabilities and visual or hearing impairments. We are based in Preston, Lancashire, and we take real pride in being part of this community. We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person and their family will ever make. That is why we work hard to ensure that everyone who comes through our doors feels genuinely at home, not just cared for. Our team takes the time to get to know each resident as an individual, understanding their routines, their preferences and what matters most to them in day to day life. Our home supports people with dementia in a way that respects their history and identity. We are mindful that dementia affects everyone differently, so we approach each resident with patience and a real effort to understand their world rather than expecting them to fit into ours. For those joining us for a short stay through respite care, we aim to make the transition as comfortable as possible, whether someone is recovering after a hospital stay or giving a family carer a well earned break. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a rating of Good, which reflects the consistent effort our whole team puts in every single day. We do not see that rating as a destination though. We carry on listening to residents, families and staff to keep improving the experience for everyone here. If you would like to find out more about life at Dovehaven Grove or arrange a visit, we would be very happy to hear from you. We always welcome the chance to show families around and answer any questions they might have.
