Here at Clough House, we are proud to be a care home at the heart of the Preston community in Lancashire, offering a warm and familiar place where people can feel genuinely at home. We support a range of individuals, including older people, those living with dementia, younger adults and people who need a shorter stay through respite care. Each person who comes through our doors has their own story, their own preferences and their own way of doing things, and we think it matters enormously that we take the time to understand that from the very start. Dementia care is something we take seriously. We know how much the right environment and the right approach can make to someone living with dementia, as well as to their family. We work hard to create a calm, reassuring atmosphere where people feel safe and understood, not just looked after in a clinical sense. Our respite care gives families and carers the chance to take a break with the confidence that their loved one is in good hands. Whether someone stays with us for a short period or makes Clough House their permanent home, we aim to offer the same level of attentiveness and genuine warmth throughout. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a rating of good, which we feel reflects the everyday effort our team puts in. That said, we never see a good rating as a reason to stand still. We are always looking at how we can do better for the people in our care.
